Santa is back in the Attic, announcing a new activity!

Gingerbread House comes in both online and Classroom Suite versions.

In the online book, make any or all of 27 beautiful gingerbread houses, and print the (surprise) final result as a holiday card. The link to the book is on the main post page. You'll also find a link there to a Gingerbread House online puzzle.

In the Classroom Suite version, students follow step by step to the point where they have assembled the gingerbread house, frosted the roof, and chose one of three styles for the windows and door. At that point they can make the project an original by decorating the roof with their own designs, using a wide assortment of clip art candy from toolbars.

There is a sweet animation of a waving gingerbread family once they finish. Then they have a chance to turn their gingerbread house picture into a holiday card. There is also a simple six piece puzzle in ICS format.

You'll find the main page for Gingerbread House at the top of the New! Section. While you're in the Attic, check out some of the past years' holiday activities. Look for Making A Wreath, Holiday Tree, and Wrapping A Gift.

As I watch the snow falling, I want to wish all of you a Happy Holiday Season! See you in the Attic!
